Albert Lynn Clark's
World War III - It Started with EMP
Based on research dismissed in 1986, the author wrote a 1987 “future history” novel warning of imminent U.S. military involvement in the Middle East—later influencing a pre–Gulf War war game, anticipating real events and technologies, and intended as an early public alert to coming realities.
About Albert Clark
Albert L. Clark is a widowed, retired U.S. Air Force lieutenant colonel and civil servant whose career spanned pilot training, wartime logistics during Vietnam, nuclear and conventional munitions management, foreign military sales across North Africa, and three decades in research, development, acquisition logistics, and program management. He worked closely with senior U.S. and foreign leaders, contributed to planning many weapons systems developed during the Reagan-era military buildup, and played a key role in early office computing, GPS, and the conceptual development of remotely piloted aircraft such as Predator and Global Hawk. A pioneer of the internet from its earliest days, he also served as a guest lecturer at the Air Force Institute of Technology, mentoring graduate research for a decade. Having lived and traveled widely around the world, Clark avoided being trapped during the Iranian embassy takeover by being recalled to resolve a conflict in Africa, and in retirement he writes novels, leads community organizations, enjoys cruising, and remains an avid reader.
